Job Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Housekeeping Public Attendant, where your energy and attention to detail will create a welcoming environment for our guests. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of public areas within the hotel. Your proactive approach will ensure that common spaces are spotless, inviting, and compliant with health and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to memorable guest experiences by delivering exceptional cleanliness and customer service. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and stairwells using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment Handle various cleaning agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff Use vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishing tools to maintain floor care standards across all public spaces Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and pressure washers efficiently and safely Conduct heavy lifting tasks when necessary to move furniture or equipment while following manual handling safety procedures Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or hazards, ensuring guest safety at all times Maintain detailed records of sanitation activities, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance for compliance purposes Qualifications Proven custodial experience or hotel housekeeping management background with a focus on public area maintenance Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques including floor care and sanitation standards in hospitality environments Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation and chemical agent handling with an understanding of safety data sheets (SDS) Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety protocols Excellent customer service skills to address guest inquiries professionally and courteously Experience with hotel emergency procedures and maintaining high standards of sanitation in busy environments Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting Join us in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere that leaves a lasting positive impression on every guest!
