Job Description

SUMMARY:
Manage tool room/CTK and all associated programs
IAW AFI 21-101, AFI 21-101 AFGSCSUP
Chapter 8 and PWS requirements. Maintain an accurate inventory of all tools, equipment, and supplies. Manages Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) account. Utilizes the AF enterprise Tool Accountability System, (TCMax), to check out and check in all tools, test equipment and HAZ items.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES
Inspect tools and equipment for serviceability and functionality. Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs on tools and equipment assigned to work center. Manage
TMDE/PMEL
account, works with designated servicing PMEL to ensure TMDE calibration requirements for owning work center are met. Ensures tools are properly labeled and stored in designated locations. Maintains a clean and organized tool room. Stores, transports, and disposes of hazardous materials in compliance with regulations. Ensure HAZMAT containers are in good condition, properly labeled, closed, secured, and segregated from incompatible materials. Tracks and manages HAZMAT chemicals, including common chemical usage, shelf life, and on-hand stock to reduce waste and cost. Adheres to strict protocols and guidelines for handling and storing hazardous materials and chemicals. Updates Safety Data Sheet (SDS) binders for approved chemicals. Performs regular assessments for hazardous conditions and ensures compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Participate in hazardous waste handler and spill response training. Support emergency response plans and be familiar with resources available to control/mitigate hazardous material incidents. Assists in identifying, monitoring, and sampling hazardous materials, and directing decontamination procedures if necessary. Must be able to manage Equipment Accounts and equipment procedures. Be knowledgeable of Air Force 21-101 and the required Technical Orders. It is essential to be flexible to handle any Program that gets assigned by Site Management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is: Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
CLIMBING
•Ascending or descending using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized (onto or off of helicopter)
HANDLING
•Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands. Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand (required for numerous tasks.)
EXPOSURE TO WEATHER
•Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather (while conducting exterior ramp operations) NOISE•Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds or a pitch or level sufficient to cause marked distraction or possible hearing loss (while conducting exterior ramp operations)
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Ability to move about both inside aircraft hangar and outside on aircraft ramp within close proximity of running equipment and aircraft.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education /
Certifications:
Must have a High School diploma, or equivalent. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Experience:
2 years Program experience with tool control, Hazmat, Haz waste, TMDE/PMEL, and/or equipment accounts. 2 years Working knowledge of
DAFI21-101
Tool and Equipment Management or equivalent. The SCA rate for this position is $30/hr. and is non-negotiable Benefits Include the
