Job Description

The Extraction Pre-Production Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the extraction preparation department. This includes supervising team members, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining consistent quality across all pre-extraction activities. Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise and guide the Extraction Preparation team to ensure accurate and efficient excecution of daily tasks. Create and maintain extraction batches in the Extraction Life Cycle data, and Biomass Analysis spreadsheets. Oversee proper handling of pre and post-extraction plant material and ensure all materials are processed with care and accuracy. Enforce adherence to company SOPs and AZDHS regulations throughout all preparation activities. Oversee cleaning and sanitation efforts in the Extraction Preparation room, freezers, and associated equipment. Manage and maintain compliance in cannabis tracking procedures from preparation to disposal. Monitor and document quality control measures to ensure product consistency, efficacy, and regulatory alignment. Ensure all team members practice proper personal hygiene and wear the required PPE while performing production duties. Oversee sanitation of all pre-production equipment and tools, including workspaces, utensils, containers, and storage racks. Supervise and assist with weighing, labeling, packaging, and batch documentation processes. Verify that all records and batch tracking data are completed accurately and clearly in accordance with regulatory and internal standards. Provide training, support, and ongoing feedback to team members; participate in onboarding new employees. Report equipment issues, supply needs, and process improvement opportunities to management.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Basic Google Sheets Skill Attention to detail and ability and willingness to follow instructions. Ability to work around strong odors. Capable of maintaining focus and physical stamina in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
Preferred Education & Experience:
Must be 21+ years old HS Diploma or GED Experience in the cannabis industry (formal or informal). General knowledge of cannabis and related products Ability to obtain and maintain an AZDHS Facility Agent Card.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift). Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly. Manual dexterity required for operating packing tools, and packaging materials with precision. Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures, including walk-in freezers. Must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, masks, and hairnets.
