In this role, you will be responsible for expertly preparing fresh fish by cleaning, filleting, and portioning to meet quality standards. Your skills will ensure that our seafood offerings are fresh, safe, and beautifully presented for our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced culinary environment where precision and food safety are paramount. Responsibilities Clean, fillet, and portion fish according to established standards and customer specifications Ensure all seafood is handled safely following food safety regulations and hygiene protocols Prepare fish for packaging, ensuring proper portioning and presentation for retail or restaurant use Maintain cleanliness of work stations, tools, and equipment throughout shifts Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to meet daily production goals Follow all safety procedures related to knife skills, food handling, and equipment operation Experience Prior experience in food production or culinary settings, especially with seafood or meat cutting preferred Strong knife skills with the ability to efficiently fillet and prepare fish Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Experience working in a restaurant or food industry environment is highly desirable Familiarity with packaging processes and maintaining cleanliness in a kitchen setting Previous kitchen experience demonstrating attention to detail and teamwork skills
Pay:
$17.50 - $18.00 per hour
