Feed Store Operator

Position Overview:

We are seeking a hardworking, dependable, and customer-focused Feed Store Team Member to be a part of daily operations. This role is hands-on and physically demanding. You will be expected to stock shelves, load feed bags, stack hay bales, assist customers, and help maintain a clean and organized store environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail management and livestock agriculture, a strong work ethic, and a passion for serving animals and the people who care for them.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist all store operations, including inventory management, and receiving shipments Safely operate equipment (skid-steer) for daily operations Work alongside staff to load and unload feed bags (typically 40-80 lbs) and hay bales throughout the day Provide outstanding customer service by building relationships and helping customers find products tailored to their animals' needs Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment inside the store and in the warehouse/loading areas Assist in deliveries of feed, hay, shavings, etc. Represent the store and uphold its values within the local agricultural and equestrian communities

Requirements:

Willingness and ability to perform heavy physical labor daily Strong communication Ability to safely maneuver and operate equipment in confined areas Reliable, self-motivated, and customer-oriented Ability to lift up to 80 lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions Prior experience in retail (preferred but not required) Familiarity with livestock, equine care, or agricultural products is preferred but not required)
