Overview Join our dynamic food production team as a Meat Processing Associate, where you'll play a vital role in overseeing the efficient and safe processing of meat products. This energetic leadership position involves managing daily operations on the production floor, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality meat products. Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily meat processing activities on the assembly line, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production schedules. Enforce strict food safety protocols in accordance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), USDA regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and OSHA standards. Oversee sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and compliant processing environment, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Train team members on meat cutting techniques, knife skills, packaging procedures, and manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs). Monitor quality control measures to ensure meat products meet safety, weight, and appearance standards; conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas. Maintain accurate documentation related to food safety management, regulatory compliance, and production logs. Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure machinery operates efficiently. Qualifications Proven experience in food processing plant operations, with specific expertise in meat product production or butchery. Strong knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP principles, OSHA safety standards, and GMP requirements. Hands-on experience with meat cutting techniques, knife skills, packaging processes, and sanitation practices. Ability to interpret manufacturing SSOPs and safety protocols; basic math skills for measurements and quality assessments. Mechanical aptitude for understanding equipment operation and troubleshooting issues promptly. Prior assembly line experience in a food industry setting is highly desirable. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate team members while maintaining a safe work environment. $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
