Publix Sushi Department - Hot Bar (PART TIME)

Job Title:

Hot Bar Associate We are seeking a Hot Bar Associate to join our team! In this role, you will assemble rice bowls, ramen, and poke bowls. No cooking experience is required. Primary tasks include placing noodles in boiling water, heating proteins, and building bowls with fresh ingredients. This position is not fast-paced, and during slower times, you will help with hot bar prep. Prep duties may include chopping lettuce, cooking rice, cutting proteins (meat and fish), and restocking items such as sauces, fish, and meats from our cooler. You may also occasionally assist the sushi chef with labeling containers and preparing ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce packets.

Job Details Pay:

$14.00 per hour Responsibilities Assemble rice bowls, ramen, and poke bowls to order. Cut fish and chicken for use in bowls. Maintain proper storage and freshness of all ingredients. Assist with closing duties such as sweeping, sanitizing, and turning off appliances. Ensure all products meet high-quality presentation standards. Qualifications No prior experience required. Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions closely. Strong attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills. Food service experience is a plus, but not required.
