1st, 2nd, 3rdHours:
5:30am-2:00pm; 1:30pm-12:00am; 9:30pm-6:00am (Mon-Fri) We are seeking a highly motivated individuals to join a great production team. As a Production worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production process. This position is located in Rockford, IL and has the opportunity for hire. Production Packaging Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Stacking boxes on pallets to be removed by the Material Handler.
- Working with other team members to ensure production and quality standards are met.
- Inspecting packaging and products for defects or damages.
- Packaging dog treats into bags or boxes according to specifications.
- Using a tape gun, tape machine, box cutter, or scissors to cut open or tape boxes.
- Sorting through dog treat products to remove broken or damaged pieces.
- Feeding a cutting machine with dog treat products to be cut to size.
- Inspecting packaging and products for defects or damages.
- Separating 50lbs frozen meat blocks with a meat hook, lifting frozen meat and loading into food processing to be cut lifting 4-5 times per hour, and loading product into processor to mix with frozen meat.
- Mixing material with frozen meat with a big mixing tool.
- Using a cutting tool to cut dog treats to size according to customer specifications, filling metal racks with plastic screens with meat strips, and pushing metal racks into and out of ovens that are 175°.
- Scraping cooked dog treats from a plastic screen, dumping cooked products into bins to be sent for packaging, and cleaning up workstations and facility after every shift including sweeping, shoveling excess product into bins for disposal, and scraping excess product off of trays and tables.
Production Packaging Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
