The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in seafood handling and preparation. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing exceptional customer service. The Seafood Manager will be responsible for maintaining product quality and freshness while leading a team of associates. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the seafood department, ensuring all products meet quality and safety standards. Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking seafood products. Train and supervise staff in food handling practices, knife skills, and customer service techniques. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment. Assist customers with their seafood selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and cooking tips. Prepare seafood items for display and sale, including packaging and presentation. Monitor product freshness and rotate stock to minimize waste. Collaborate with other departments to promote seafood sales and special promotions. Visit accounts and maintain good working relationships Visit new accounts continuing to grow new business Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry, specifically in seafood management or a similar role. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Proficient in kitchen operations, including meat cutting and food preparation techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.
