Weekend Studio + Production Assistant Lifebloom | South Boston, MA Part-Time | Saturdays + Sundays | $20/hour Lifebloom is a Boston-based fragrance studio creating handcrafted candles, perfumes, and hands-on fragrance experiences. We're looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and self-motivated Weekend Studio + Production Assistant to join us at our South Boston studio. This is a hands-on role that combines product production, guest experiences, and day-to-day studio operations . We're a small, founder-led business, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of their work and, once fully trained, operating the studio independently. What You'll Do Production + Fulfillment Assist with candle and perfume production Prepare vessels and materials for production Bottle, label, package, and finish products Prepare inventory for markets and other sales channels Assist with order fulfillment and holiday inventory preparation Maintain organized production areas and supplies Follow established recipes, processes, and quality standards Guest Experiences Welcome and check in guests Host our guided Candle Bar and Perfume Bar experiences Help guests explore fragrance and create something personal Manage reservation timing and reset stations between groups Provide a warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable guest experience Studio Operations Open and close the South Boston studio independently once trained Keep guest and production areas clean, organized, and stocked Complete assigned production priorities between reservations Restock Candle Bar and Perfume Bar materials Communicate inventory needs, customer issues, and important studio updates to the owners Who We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you are: Dependable and punctual — reliability is especially important as this role will eventually operate independently Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your responsibilities Detail-oriented and able to consistently follow established processes Warm, personable, and comfortable guiding groups Self-directed and able to stay productive during quieter periods Comfortable moving between customer-facing work and hands-on production Organized, communicative, and willing to learn Interested in fragrance, candles, creative experiences, or working with a small business Previous candle-making, perfume-making, or fragrance experience is not required. We'll provide training on our products, production processes, and guest experiences. Experience in retail, hospitality, production, fulfillment, events, or another customer-facing environment is a plus. Schedule This position is specifically designed around weekend availability at our South Boston studio. Saturdays and Sundays Approximately 7-14 hours per week initially Hours may increase during our peak holiday season from mid-November through December Consistent weekend availability, particularly during the holiday season, is important Exact hours may vary based on reservations, production needs, and seasonality We expect to begin training in September 2026, with the goal of having this person comfortable independently operating the studio ahead of the holiday season. Compensation $20/hour This is a part-time W-2 position. About Lifebloom Lifebloom is an independent Boston fragrance brand creating handcrafted candles, perfumes, and hands-on fragrance experiences.
