Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Maine Wild Blueberry Processor, where you will play a vital role in transforming fresh blueberries into high-quality products for consumers. This energetic position involves overseeing the processing operations, ensuring equipment runs smoothly, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Supervise daily blueberry processing activities, coordinating team efforts to meet production goals efficiently. Drive van to field to pick up fruit. Operate and monitor machinery and equipment used in blueberry processing, including conveyors, and winnowing machine. Conduct routine adjustments, maintenance and cleaning on processing equipment, utilizing hand tools, and basic mechanical knowledge to ensure optimal performance. Ensure compliance with safety protocols by training team members on proper equipment operation, heavy lifting techniques, and safe handling procedures. Requirements Experience in agricultural or food processing environments is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in food safety cleaning and maintenance tasks. Familiarity with farm equipment and farm production. Basic math for measurements and calculations. Physical ability for heavy lifting, long periods of standing, and working in hot weather conditions ( no climate control in work enviroment) Knowledge of agriculture practices is advantageous.
