A Meat and Seafood Processor or Packager works in a processing facility to cut, sort and package meat and seafood for sale to retail or wholesale customers. Processes and packages food according to health and safety guidelines.
This position reports directly to the Post Harvest Manager and is responsible for assuring the proper planning, scheduling, production, and compliance of cannabis products for sale. Collaborate effectively with the team to meet production and filling targets, ensuring cohesive operations within the department.
Full Time Pay:

RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the team to ensure the fulfillment of production quotas, maintaining an optimal level of output. Foster respectful communication with all staff members, including leadership, to enhance a positive work environment. Stay abreast of regulatory and compliance updates, adapting production schedules accordingly to ensure adherence to industry standards. Adhere to and oversee departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accurate weighing, fulfillment, labeling, and storage of products. Manage the meticulous manicuring and packaging of plant material and infused products, ensuring compliance with established protocols. Ensure all tasks and processes align with regulatory standards, maintaining compliance at all times. Oversee and organize department schedules and workflows as assigned. Uphold product quality by meticulously attending to detail throughout the production process. Train and support staff in the operation of both automated and semi-automated packaging and filling equipment. Address and manage employee-related issues, implement corrective actions, oversee employee change forms, and maintain departmental headcount. Collaborate closely with department supervisors on employee-related matters, possessing comprehensive knowledge of attendance policies and the employee handbook. Assume the responsibilities of the Senior Packaging Manager in their absence, providing seamless operational continuity.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of
Experience:
Demonstrated background in packaging and/or cannabis production within a commercial cannabis facility.
Team Management:
Proven success in leading and managing teams for a minimum of 2 years.
Regulatory Familiarity:
Knowledge or willingness to learn state-specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance.
Tech Proficiency:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
