Job Description

The Production Manager will be responsible for directing and coordinating sausage production activities alongside our kitchen crew. They will work directly with the owner on a regular basis to bring the highest quality products to market. They will be responsible for the safety, quality and efficiency of production. Our ideal candidate is a hands-on learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent leadership skills, can execute consistent quality and has a positive attitude and team-first mindset. We are looking for a self starter who has keen attention to detail. Must be able to keep order within the kitchen, making sure our kitchen is clean and organized. Assigning tasks to staff as needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee and work alongside kitchen crew in daily production operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and cleanlinessManage and train kitchen staff to maintain a motivated and productive teamMonitor inventory, order supplies, and minimize wasteMaintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standardsAssign daily tasks and hold staff accountable for quality, speed, and cleanlinessMaintain an atmosphere of enthusiasm
Job Requirements:
2+ years experience in a grocery meat department, butcher shop, restaurant or similar environment1+ year in a supervisor / lead roleAble to communicate respectfully with team and customersAble to work in a cold environment, stand long periods, and lift 50+ lbsExcellent organizational skills and flexibility to work in a fast-paced work environmentStrong leadership and communication skills Knowledge of food safety, sanitation and best practicesSelf starterAttention to detailPositive attitude and team-first mindset
