Cocoa Campus (Poppy & Peep Chocolate)
Position Type:
Part-Time, Seasonal (August-February) with potential for long-term and full-time growth
Hours:
20-30 hours per week
Pay:
$18•20/hour depending on experience + shared tip pool About Poppy & Peep Poppy & Peep is a handcrafted chocolate brand built on creativity, care, and thoughtful hospitality. Our Cocoa Campus brings together our chocolate shop, production kitchen, and hospitality spaces—all working in harmony to create a memorable experience for every guest. The Role We are looking for a Chocolatier to join our production team. This role is hands-on and creative, focused on making beautiful, high-quality chocolates and confections with consistency and care. This is a hands-on production role that requires consistency, focus, and care across repetitive, detail-driven work. You'll be involved in the full production process—from chocolate work to finishing details that bring our products to life. Responsibilities Temper chocolate consistently and correctly (required) Hand-paint bonbons using colored cocoa butter with care and attention to detail Create smooth, even chocolate shells and assist with filling, capping, and unmolding bonbons Support chocolate bar production and general prep work Assist with confections such as caramels, panning, sauces, meringues, and pâte de fruit Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production space What We're Looking For Previous pastry or chocolate production experience required Strong understanding of chocolate tempering (required) Experience working in a production or professional kitchen environment (not hobby-scale) Strong eye for detail, color, and presentation Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency Organized, reliable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Open to learning, feedback, and working in a collaborative environment Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds Comfortable with repetitive, detailed production work Our Environment We work across our Cocoa Campus as one connected team—production, retail, and hospitality all supporting each other.
