Job Description

SoCo Ginger Beer and Comet Juice is looking for an organized, efficient, and team-oriented lead for our beverage production team! This is a hands-on, on-the-floor role. You'll run production and packaging alongside the team, keep the day on schedule, train new staff, ensure food safety and quality standards are met, and back up the Production Manager on scheduling, inventory, and equipment. There is opportunity to grow into a management role.

ResponsibilitiesLeading the day-to-day production and packaging of SoCo Ginger Beer and fresh pressed juices for
Comet Juice:
preparation and juicing of fruits and vegetables, operating the juicing equipment, CO2 and brite tanks, bottling machine, and labeling machineSetting up the day's run, assigning tasks, and keeping the team on pace; acting as point person on the floor when the Production Manager is outTraining new production staff and keeping the team on recipes and proceduresMaintaining and cleaning juicing equipment, hydraulic juice press, and other warehouse equipment daily, and making sure the team does the sameEnsuring compliance with all cleanliness and food safety requirements, including daily production and sanitation logsAssisting the Production Manager with produce ordering, inventory counts, and equipment upkeepQualificationsFood handling and preparation experience required; kitchen, brewery, or production lead experience strongly preferredFood Handler's certification required (Food Manager's certification a plus)Comfortable directing a small crew and communicating clearlyReliable transportationAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift and carry up to 60 poundsExperience and know-how in using kitchen equipment and tools, or brewing machineryComfortable working in a small, noisy, fast-paced small business environmentScheduleMonday-Saturday, 5 days a week, day shiftsBenefitsPTOFree juice and drinks(A note or cover letter about yourself and why you think you are a good fit for this position goes a long way toward standing out!)
