Job description: Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and hands-on Depositing Supervisor to lead production and deposit operations in a fast-paced food processing and manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily depositing, blending, filling, and packaging operations while ensuring compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), FDA regulations, and internal safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will manage a team of 40+ employees and shift leads, coordinate multiple high-priority production activities, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure smooth workflow across manufacturing and packaging operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, operational efficiency, sanitation standards, and regulatory compliance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Operations Management Supervise, direct, and support a team of 40+ employees and shift leads in daily production and depositing operations Oversee all operations within assigned production areas, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met Manage multiple high-priority tasks and production schedules in a fast-paced environment Act as backup support across departments based on operational needs and individual skill sets Production & Equipment Operations Set up (assemble and disassemble), operate, adjust, and clean depositing, blending, filling, and packaging equipment Regulate machine flow, speed, and temperature to maintain consistent production output Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot mechanical issues, jams, pileups, and quality deviations Ensure efficient operation of machinery to minimize waste and downtime Support pressing, blending, filling, and packaging processes as needed Quality, Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with
GMP, HACCP, FDA
regulations, and internal food safety standards Monitor, document, and enforce safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures Oversee cleanliness and sanitation of production and depositing areas Maintain accurate records of production output, rejects, and compliance documentation Packaging & Inventory Support Stock, sort, and replenish packaging materials such as boxes, cartons, labels, ink, glue, and rolls Attach and verify product identification labels including lot numbers, storage locations, and shipping details Count, track, and document finished goods and rejected items Assist in inventory control of production and packaging supplies Training & Development Train and onboard new machine operators, packaging specialists, and production staff Conduct ongoing training on equipment operation, safety procedures, and sanitation standards Create, update, and maintain SOPs, training materials, and operational documentation Administrative & Technical Skills Maintain detailed production, sanitation, and compliance logs Utilize basic math skills to verify quantities, measurements, and production data Use basic software and technology systems for documentation and reporting Demonstrate strong organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail Requirements Proven experience in food manufacturing or food processing plant environments Strong knowledge of
GMP, HACCP, FDA
regulations, and food safety practices Experience supervising large teams (40+ employees preferred) Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to operate and troubleshoot production equipment Forklift operation experience preferred (certification a plus, not required) Familiarity with blending, depositing, filling, and packaging processes Strong leadership skills with ability to manage teams in a high-pressure environment Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet production deadlines consistently Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
