Description Requirements:
Harvest floor knife experience Ability to sharpen a knife and maintain a sharp knife Willingness to learn anatomy, physiology and pathological disease processes Excellent communication skills Must be detail oriented and disciplined Interested in work that challenges you mentally Ability to lift, push, and pull product repetitively Work effectively in a TEAM atmosphere Job description: A Beef Modernization Sorter must have strong observational abilities while performing precision knife cuts so they may make correct decisions related to pathology, presentation or possible sanitary dressing deficiencies. Beef Modernization Sorters work in a high-paced environment and must understand Food Safety and Quality are their primary responsibility. Beef Modernization Sorters undergo intensive and recurring training and must be willing to train/educate others. Beef Modernization Sorters work closely with many different harvest floor departments including
USDA-FSIS
Consumer Safety Inspectors. EOE/VET/DISABLED
