Job Description
Trident Seafoods is North America's largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company. Headquartered in Seattle, Washington (USA), Trident employs approximately 7,700 people worldwide each year and partners with over 2,700 independent fishermen and crewmembers in Alaska. Trident catches and processes virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska. The global supply chain also encompasses cultured and wild species sourced from an international network of trusted suppliers.
Summary:
The Seafood Processor L48 - Tier 2 processes Seafood products on one or more assigned lines by performing the following duties.Essential Functions:
Cleans, scrapes, trims, and fillets product. Discards and culls inferior or defective items and foreign matter. Skillfully fillets for finishing seafood products into predetermined sizes. Works with precision knives and tools to meet product specifications. Accurately weighs and sorts of fish according to product or customer specifications. Attentive to minimizing waste and achieving consistent results. Labels and packages seafood according to product guidelines. Reviews workspace for cleanliness and safety. Tasks and assignments must always be performed in a safe manner. Performs Tier 1 functions at a higher level of productivity and quality. Engages in tasks that require additional training outside of the normal production line duties. Undertakes crucial responsibilities as a key person on production line. Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions. Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings. This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $21.47 to $22.07 per hour. Trident Seafoods offers a comprehensive and quality benefits package. Proficient in the key responsibilities of a Seafood Processor L48 - Tier 1 as evaluated by management.Preferred Education & Experiences:
Previous food production experience is a plus but not required.Work Environment:
Production and external environment. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work is usually loud.Work Ability Requirements:
The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
