Job Description

The Transmission Specialty Operator (TSO) is a critical member of the Transmission Remanufacturing operations and is responsible for helping to ensure that the production stations remain at full production capacity by covering absences throughout our production processes. The TSO will be an individual who is self-motivated, holds themselves and others accountable for ETE's core values, and has a strong desire to work at a high-quality, fast, and flexible pace. The TSO will report directly to Production Managers in the Transmission Remanufacturing operations and will be expected to be sufficiently capable of communicating verbally and in writing in a professional manner. Responsibilities:
Cover absences across multiple different operator positions and product families. These positions may include, but are not limited to, assembly, subassembly, inspection, dyno operation/packaging, teardown operation, dyno failure repair, or unit handling Cover Dyno operations during scheduled breaks. The TSO will have a different break schedule than the rest of the operation to allow for increased utilization of the production stations and machines Assist with training of the operators and ensuring that all procedures are being followed correctly Learn and uphold all Quality Alerts. The TSO will be responsible for staying up to date with all Quality Alerts related to his or her respective production stations Assist Quality Team with performing quality audits Assist with performing tool audits to ensure proper functionality, as necessary Assist with inventory-related duties, such as performing cycle-counts of the MI-Carts or performing Work in Process (WIP) counts Finishing units that were previously in 'stopped' status because of parts shortages Assisting with stocking critical parts Consistently maintain progress with learning new skills, such as dyno failure repair, to assist with other departments production-related goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of service at ETE Trained in at least 3 different operator roles across at least 3 different families (family groupings such as 4R100/E4OD or 6L80/6L90 would be considered one family) No more than 6 attendance points in the last 6 months No plant rule violations in the last 6 months, and no more than 4 total accumulated points for plant rule violations Strong attention to detail Sufficient capabilities using our ERP System (Syteline), including the ability to self-sufficiently solve problems by using Syteline to find information using multiple forms Ability to read and enforce Quality Alerts Ability to use task management software, such as Trello or Jira, as necessary Ability to use Microsoft Office products, including Outlook/Calendar Ability to stand for at least 8 hours Ability to lift at least 50 pounds Company Expectations At ETE REMAN, we expect every team member to: Bring a positive attitude and support your teammates Focus on quality and keep customer satisfaction at the center of everything you do Follow established policies and processes, while staying flexible as things evolve Show up on time, stay engaged, and work with passion, urgency, and focus Aim to not only meet but exceed goals Make continuous improvement a daily goal Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
