This role is designed for someone who leads from the front, creates urgency, develops people, and keeps the team focused on delivering an excellent customer experience while achieving operational and sales goals. The Assistant Manager works closely with the General Manager to turn expectations into consistent execution and should be capable of successfully leading the site when the General Manager is not present. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the Team Bring consistent energy, urgency, and positivity to every shift. Set the standard through personal example rather than simply directing others. Keep employees engaged, productive, and accountable throughout the day. Recognize strong performance and address performance gaps quickly. Help create a culture where employees want to improve and succeed. Drive Sales Performance Actively coach employees on membership sales and conversion. Observe customer interactions and provide immediate, specific feedback. Roleplay with employees based on their individual opportunities. Understand site and employee-level performance trends and adjust coaching accordingly. Create competitive energy around achieving daily and monthly goals. Execute Operations Maintain strong standards for safety, cleanliness, equipment, customer service, and site presentation. Complete required audits, checklists, and operational responsibilities consistently. Identify problems early and take ownership of finding solutions. Communicate operational concerns clearly and escalate appropriately when additional support is needed. Own the Shift Run shifts with purpose and clear expectations. Position employees where they can have the greatest impact. Adjust staffing and responsibilities based on volume and business needs. Maintain accountability without sacrificing team morale.
