Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Bus Monitor and play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of students during their daily transportation. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with children, supporting their journey to and from school. As a Bus Monitor, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment on the bus, managing student behavior, and providing assistance as needed to create a positive and safe transit experience for all passengers. Responsibilities Supervise students during bus rides, ensuring they follow safety rules and behave appropriately Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely, especially those with special needs or requiring additional support Enforce conduct policies to promote respectful behavior and resolve conflicts calmly and effectively Provide first aid or emergency assistance when necessary, following proper protocols Communicate clearly with students, drivers, school staff, and parents to address concerns or report incidents Support students with behavioral management strategies to foster a positive environment onboard Maintain order on the bus by monitoring student activities and ensuring compliance with safety regulations Requirements Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings is preferred Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents Knowledge of behavior management techniques and conflict resolution skills Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and confidently, including administering basic first aid Experience working with students with special needs or in educational environments is a plus Valid certification in first aid is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified Demonstrated patience, reliability, and a positive attitude toward working with children This role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about supporting student safety and fostering a nurturing environment during daily transportation. Pay:
$173.26 - $208.66 per day
