ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist driver in assuring transportation occurs in accordance with district policy and procedure as well as local, state and federal traffic laws and regulations. Conduct safe and orderly loading and unloading of students. Maintain order and discipline on bus. Participate in all training pertaining to the job. Report all accidents immediately to the Transportation Supervisor or designee. Complete and submit student conduct/incident or other reports and documentation as required. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Provide support and instruction to students in order to understand school bus safety rules. Monitor students throughout the transportation bus route. Secure students and position students within bus, assist with operation of lift, secure wheel chair with appropriate tie-downs, and secure individuals with appropriate harnesses, operate all adaptive equipment assigned to the students and bus. Assist the driver in keeping bus clean. Complete all training as required. Perform other duties as assigned.
