Job Description

Job Overview Join our team as a Bus Monitor and play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of students during their daily transportation. As a Bus Monitor, you will be responsible for supervising students on the bus, managing behavior, and providing assistance to ensure a positive and secure environment. Your energetic presence will help foster a safe journey for all children, making a meaningful difference in their daily school experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with students and support their educational journey. Duties Supervise students during bus rides, ensuring they follow safety rules and behave appropriately Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely, especially those with special needs or requiring additional support Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and resolve conflicts calmly and effectively Communicate clearly with students, drivers and dispatchers Support students with disabilities or special education requirements to ensure their comfort and safety during transit Maintain a safe environment by monitoring student behavior and enforcing school policies Requirements Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly preferred Knowledge of behavior management techniques and conflict resolution skills Familiarity with special education needs and classroom experience is a plus Ability to manage challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism Valid certification in first aid is desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified Join us in creating a safe, supportive transportation experience for students!
