We provide comprehensive services including education, health, nutrition, family support and parent involvement. The goal of Head Start is to prepare children to enter kindergarten and promote their success in later learning while also helping families in meeting their goals toward self-sufficiency. The Bus Driver Aide will be responsible to: Assist children and family members if applicable in boarding and un-boarding vehicle. Maintain order and enforce safety regulations during the bus ride. Deliver and receive notices or messages to and from parents including receiving phone calls from parents. Deliver messages, paperwork etc. between sites when necessary Make sure children are able to gain access to a supervised home upon their return. Learn bus routes; communicate to bus driver when children are absent or returning from an absence. Assist in maintaining cleanliness of vehicle and keeping paperwork current Adhere to the NAEYC Professional Code of Ethics and interact in a collegial, cooperative and supportive manner with other staff members, parents and children.
