SPLIT SHIFT...YOU'LL WORK A COUPLE OF HOURS IN THE AM AND A COUPLE OF HOURS IN THE AFTERNOON

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, MAJOR DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

:

• _ Provide safe transportation of students to and from school and/or program throughout Bristol County._ Provide direct/indirect supervision of students while entrusted to your care._ Maintain the interior of assigned van or bus to guarantee, a clean and sanitary environment for individuals being transported._ Maintain close communication with Whaling City Transportation staff ._ Develop a cooperative working relationship with School or Day Center personnel._ Assist in the communication of adult client needs to appropriate school or program personnel._ Perform related clerical tasks (i.e. time sheets, mileage sheets, check out forms, attendance forms, etc.)._ Issue special incident reports as appropriate._ Performs related duties as required by job-specific position._ Guarantee the safe loading and unloading of all students entrusted to your care._ Exhibit at all times appropriate role modeling through language, dress, hygiene, and expressing appropriate attitudes toward sex, criminal behavior and the use of drugs._ Must be able to provide there own transportation to and from work twice a day._ Runs are Monday thru Friday._ Applicants must be able to pass a Pass a Criminal Offender Record Information or (CORI) check._ The law requires a fingerprint-based state and national criminal record check for all school employees and contractor employees. All

•newly hired school employees, including educators, student teachers, maintenance staff, cafeteria workers, and bus drivers, who work in the schools and may have direct and unmonitored contact with children are now required to complete the new fingerprint-based state and national background . Whaling City Transit Inc. is currently accepting applications to establish a list of qualified candidates for this position. Drivers/monitors are hired for split shifts to transport students to and from various locations throughout Bristol County. Schedules, hours and length of assignments may vary.
