Job Description

Now Hiring:
Transportation Aides Friendly Taxi - Elkton, MD Friendly Taxi is seeking dependable, compassionate, and professional Transportation Aides to assist in transporting students for Cecil County Public Schools, including students with special needs. As a Transportation Aide, you will help ensure students are transported safely while providing support, patience, and encouragement throughout their ride. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and making a positive difference in their daily lives.
Responsibilities:
Assist students, including those with physical, developmental, behavioral, and special needs, with safely entering and exiting vehicles. Provide supervision and support to students during transportation. Ensure all students remain safely secured during transport. Assist drivers in maintaining a safe and positive environment. Follow all Cecil County Public Schools transportation policies and procedures. Communicate professionally with drivers, dispatch, school staff, parents, and caregivers. Respond calmly and appropriately to student needs while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Must pass a criminal background check. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and remain drug-free while employed. Must be dependable, patient, compassionate, and able to work with children of all abilities. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Experience working with children or individuals with special needs is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
