Job Title:
Bus Aide Substitute Monday
  • Friday 5:30 a.m.
  • 9:00 a.m. 1:45 p.m.
  • 5:15 p.
m. Student days only
Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this position will be to assist general education and/or special education students on the bus.
Qualifications:
1. High school graduate. 2. CPR certified or willing to be trained. 3. Flexible and strong enough to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 90 pounds such as students or students in wheelchairs. 4. Work positively with students, staff and parents. 5. Willingness to work as part of a team of professionals. 6. Medical training will be provided if needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist with loading and unloading of children. 2. Assist the driver in maintaining a safe environment on the bus. 3. Make sure that any special needs are met, which is a part of the transportation service. 4. Maintain a positive communication system with the driver and transportation administration. 5. Maintain strict confidentiality. 6. Attend all trainings necessary. 7. Other duties as assigned.
