Reporting to the Transportation Manager and is also accountable to the Director of Transportation. As an
KIPP ENC
school bus monitor, you will comply with all NC School Bus Safety laws in accordance with the NC Department of Transportation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Uphold the mission and vision of
KIPP ENC
Provide a safe, healthy, consistent, positive, caring environment for children and staff Positive student culture Happy and healthy students and parents Reports to work daily and on time Assist the bus driver in maintaining discipline on school bus; monitor and assist students while bus is in operation. Assist driver in assuring seat belts, harness and wheel chair clamps are secured as required. Assist parents and school personnel with safe loading and unloading of students; coordinate seating of pre-kindergarten students as required by State Transportation Guidelines. Maintain current knowledge of Emergency Evacuation procedures. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Have a High School diploma or GED Certificate Able to follow oral and written directions Knowledge of safe practices concerning school bus transportation Ability to communicate effectively
