School Bus About Us Serafini Transportation Corp. is a locally-owned, non-union transportation company serving the Southern Tier of New York. Our services include Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT), school bus operations, and private charters. We are known for our safety-first approach, reliability and professionalism. Job Summary Monitors transport clients, ensures adherence to safety rules, and assists passengers in boarding or exiting, as necessary. General Accountabilities Assist students while boarding and exiting the bus safely Ensure students are seated and properly secured with seat belts or safety restraints as required Maintain order and promote positive behavior on the bus Assist the driver in monitoring student conduct and reporting any concerns Support students with special needs, including operating lifts or securing mobility devices Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and the bus driver Follow company safety protocols and emergency procedures Assist with evacuations in case of emergency Perform daily checks to ensure bus safety equipment is operational
Job Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Appropriate certifications and/or licensures with a few months to 1 year of related experience Skills Excellent verbal and written communication Monitoring Judgment and decision making Service orientation Time management Social perceptiveness Benefits Consistent, year-round work License Fee Reimbursement and CDL upgrade support Supportive team environment Paid Sick Leave
