Job Description

The After School Activities Coordinator is responsible for helping the athletic director manage, organize, and run communications regarding MEMS athletic programs and after school clubs. This role will work closely with the athletic director, school administration, coaches, club sponsors, staff, students, and families to support the overall mission of the school.
Job Summary:
Promote good teamwork, leadership, and respect at all times Foster a positive culture that emphasizes growth, effort, and learning Ensure the presence of a safe and compliant environment, per district and school policy Communicate effectively with athletes, parents/guardians, school staff, and administration Collaborate with athletic director, coaches, club sponsors in an effective and professional manner Model professionalism and serve as a positive role model for coaches, staff and students Maintain attendance, equipment inventories, uniforms, and basic records as required Manage the immediate needs of student-athletes, coaches and club sponsors Transport students to away games in school-issued vans when necessary Set up and tear down all game equipment including bleachers, tables, chairs, scoreboards, etc. Facilitate a healthy game environment when others are in our building
Qualifications:
Experience with athletic programs and schedules Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work positively with and manage adults and middle school-aged students Knowledge of computer programs such as Parent Square, Excel/Sheets, etc. White Fleet trained (or willing to go through training within the district ASAP) Required background checks and district/school clearances Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required White Fleet training through FUSD's transportation department (complete after hiring process) CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required
Working Conditions:
Hourly position Hours are typically Monday-Thursday from 3:30 - 5:30 pm, and may include evenings and occasional weekends Work is performed indoors and outdoors Physical activity is required, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying loads over 30 lbs. Exposure to varying weather conditions
