Job Overview We are seeking a professional, dependable, and detail-oriented Event Setup Crew Member/Team Lead to join our team. In this role, you will help prepare event spaces, ensure all setups meet specifications, and maintain a clean and organized environment. The Team Lead will also provide direction to setup crew members, coordinate setup activities, and ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. Your leadership, reliability, and attention to detail will help create positive experiences for our residents during a variety of community events. Primary Responsibilities Perform basic janitorial and cleaning duties throughout the Recreation Complex. Lead and work alongside Event Setup Crew members during event setup and tear-down. Review event setup requirements and ensure tables, chairs, equipment, and other items are arranged according to specifications. Set up and tear down tables, chairs, and other equipment for dances, bingo, recreation events, meetings, and other community events. Assign tasks to evening crew members and monitor work to ensure setups and tear-downs are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Perform floor care, including buffing and waxing floors as needed. Maintain the overall cleanliness, appearance, and presentation of the Recreation Complex. Safely transport equipment, supplies, and materials within the Recreation Complex. Empty and replace trash receptacles throughout the Recreation Complex. Inspect event spaces before and after events and communicate any concerns or needed repairs to the Recreation Floor Crew Supervisor or Activity Director. Assist with maintaining event spaces in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. Secondary Responsibilities Provide backup support to other Recreation Department staff members as needed. Assist with Recreation Department in decorating and the execution of special events as needed. Assist with training and providing guidance to evening Event Setup Crew members. Communicate staffing, scheduling, supply, equipment, and event setup concerns the Floor Crew Supervisor or Activity Director. Perform minor and routine repairs within the scope of the position and report issues that require additional expertise. Properly use, clean, store, and maintain cleaning equipment. Properly and safely use common hand tools. Perform other duties as assigned by the Activity Director or designee. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have knowledge of and be able to perform the following: Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper techniques for cleaning carpets, kitchen floors, and restrooms. Working knowledge of stripping, waxing, and buffing wood and vinyl floors. (Preferred) Knowledge of proper safety procedures for handling and storing chemicals, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and the proper labeling and cataloging of chemical dispensing sprayers in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Work occasional days, weekends, and holidays. Holiday work will be compensated according to company policy. Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to interact professionally and courteously with residents, guests, and staff. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors during event setup and tear-down. Ability to provide directions to crew members and ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately, safely, and on time.

•12:30 AM Must work occasional holidays. Holiday work will be compensated according to company policy.
Pay:
$21.00
•$23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
