Activities Assistant Activities Auburn, CA Description Position at Siena Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Full Time & Per Diem - $19.00 - $21.00 / 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM Siena Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a Generations Healthcare facility, is searching for an Activities Assistant to join our team. Position Overview:
The primary role of the Activities Assistant position is to plan, coordinate and implement engaging, entertaining, and therapeutic activity programs to meet the residents' needs. Development and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, along with specific clinical programming addressing behavioral needs and as directed by supervisors.
Essential Duties :
Planning and implementation of daily activities and holiday events for Residents. Completion of monthly calendar of events. Oversight and facilitation of facility Marketplace store. Regulatory Compliance.
Qualifications:
Prior experience with adults with mental health diagnoses strongly preferred. Ability to demonstrate respect for and patience with retirement age residents, and desire to enhance residents' lives. Ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher. Focused attention to detail and the ability to effectively handle multiple items/tasks, prioritize as required and adapt favorably to changing priorities. Effective ability to make appropriate judgments and decisions, in a timely manner and within the context of the situation at hand. Ability to effectively respond to emergency and/or crisis situations. Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter. Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal direction in English. This position requires the successful completion of a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
