Pay:

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Imperial Regional Detention Facility in Calexico, California. We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping detainees acquire valuable skills and receive the necessary treatment for success upon release.
Responsibilities:
Reports to the deputy warden. Responsible for coordinating and providing structured, well-rounded recreation programming in compliance with MTC and customer directives.
Essential Functions:
Supervise the instruction of detainees in recreation activities Oversee the preparation of a variety of well-planned recreation activities including individual and team sports, special interest programs and others Manage the development and distribution of weekly, monthly and annual recreational plans and activities schedules Control use of equipment and supplies; make minor repairs and recommend purchases. Maintain accurate inventory of supplies and recreational equipment Provide information regarding special and scheduled activities Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed Maintain accountability of detainees and property; adhere to safety practices. It is expected the incumbent will perform other duties as assigned with in his/her scope of work determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 6 months of library, clerical, administrative or related experience required Experience administering recreation activities preferred Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid Class B driver's license in the state of California with passenger and air-break endorsements, with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
