Activities Assistant

We have a current opening for an Activities Assistant for the Skilled Nursing Facility at our Portola Campus. This is a full-time position, five, eight-hour days per week. This position will require working days, and some nights.

$19-$21

Position Summary:

The primary function of the Activities Assistant is to assist in the planning, implementation and carrying out of activities of the SNF/Long Term Care Residents.

Position Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent Can be a Certified Nurse Aid, but not required Have a sincere interest in working with the elderly or dependent adults Prior patient care in extended care facilities is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required Computer skills and knowledge are required CPR certified (within 6 mos. of hire)

Primary Responsibilities:

To provide weekend and holiday coverage in Activities, and relief coverage in the absence of the Activity Coordinator. To also provide additional coverage for special events and outings. To implement fully the daily activity program as indicated on the activity calendar. To document in the individual resident's charts the daily activities of each resident. Assist with outings and other activities as needed.
