Opportunity to provide private instructional pickleball lessons to members. Responsibilities and Duties Organize, plan, budget, evaluate, promote and run and/or direct Pickleball orientations (i.e. Pickleball 101), tournaments, leagues and other Pickleball activities and events (Social, Recreational and Competitive). Schedule the Pickleball orientations and court usage for all Pickleball activities. Oversee, promote and engage in the administration of all program sign-ups. Maintain a current and active Pickleball player database. Recruit and recommend hiring of Pickleball department staff Supervise, orient and train new Pickleball staff. Write, edit and oversee all newsletter articles related to Pickleball. Initiate and engage in social media programs and the Spare Time member App. Produce annual Adult and Junior Pickleball Activity Schedules and Calendars. Prepare for, attend and participate in weekly meetings with the Club Manager and in monthly Club Department Head meeting. Develop annual Pickleball department business plan and be accountable for its control. Maintain active involvement in the Pickleball community as a representative of the Club. Make scheduled appearances and promotions for the Club. Participate in Pickleball activities at the Club and other Spare Time Clubs. Oversee Pickleball court maintenance and safety standards. Support and enforce all Club rules and regulations as a staff team member. Keep required stats and records. Reflect positively on your staff, the Club and Spare Time Sports Clubs at all times. Qualifications Three years or more experience as a pickleball player. Certified either PPR, ITPTA or PCI in order to provide private instruction. The ability to manage your time effectively. High school diploma or equivalent. CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire. Physical and environmental requirements Occasional bending, kneeling, and lifting of weights up to 30 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing, running, kneeling, squatting and balancing when at club properties. Work on club properties may be performed near moving, mechanical parts. The noise level is usually moderate to high at club properties. Compensation and Benefits Hourly pay $20 $23 per hour Complimentary Spare Time Sports clubs employee membership. Ability to earn commission on Private Pickleball lessons. Part Time Hours, Flexible schedule to include morning, evenings and weekends •This is a part-time position.
