Key Responsibilities Include:
Coordinate adult sports leagues and recreation programs, including registration, schedules, facilities, standings, playoffs, classes, and other day-to-day program needs. Recruit, train, schedule, and oversee part-time staff, officials, volunteers, and instructors. Lead meetings and trainings to communicate program rules, safety requirements, procedures, and expectations. Provide excellent customer service to participants, team managers, officials, instructors, and the public. Answer questions, explain program rules, and help resolve concerns, conflicts, and other program issues. Coordinate officials, instructors, and independent contractors, including schedules, communication, agreements, required paperwork, and other program needs for adult sports, tennis, pickleball, and assigned programs. Coordinate fields, courts, and facilities and work with other City staff to address scheduling, maintenance, equipment, safety, and facility needs. Provide on-site support during evening leagues and other activities. Plan and support special events, including the City's annual Corporate Games, by coordinating schedules, participating organizations, staffing, vendors, communications, and event-day activities. Manage the administrative side of assigned programs, including budgets, purchasing, revenue and expense tracking, records, reports, contracts, marketing, program evaluations, and deadlines. Work independently while keeping the Recreation Supervisor informed and building positive relationships with community partners and other City staff. The Ideal Candidate- Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate is an organized, customer-focused professional who enjoys building relationships and creating meaningful recreational opportunities for the community.
- Required A combination of education, training and experience equivalent to completion of some college course work in a field related to public administration, recreation, cultural arts, or social services, and two years of progressively responsible experience implementing services in the social services, senior services, cultural arts, or recreation field; OR in lieu of college coursework, a total of three years of experience as described above.

Depending on assignment, possession of a valid California Class C driver's license may be required.
