We teach the fundamentals of sports while building confidence, teamwork, and a love for movement in a fun, encouraging environment. Our HERO programs are curated for all skill and play levels and operate year-round, creating consistency and familiarity for kids and families. We offer a wide variety of programs including summer camps, school break camps, preschool and elementary partnerships, park programs, indoor gym sports programs, private programs & camps, and birthday parties. Our focus is on creating a fun, supportive environment where kids can build confidence, have FUN and developing important life values. Job Overview We are seeking an energetic, positive dedicated Summer Camp Manager to lead our seasonal programs. In this role, you will oversee daily camp operations, ensure a safe and engaging environment for our campers in developing essential skills through a variety of activities as well as support our amazing team of coaches and staff. Your leadership will inspire an incredible camp experience where our campers will build confidence through sports, arts & crafts, brain games and teamwork! enjoy sports, build friendships, and develop essential skills through a variety of activities. There is no summer like a HERO Summer! Responsibilities Plan and coordinate daily camp schedules, activities, and sports sessions to ensure a fun, structured experience for all participants Supervise and support camp staff and coaches, fostering a positive team environment centered on responsibility, respect, and fun Implement strategies that promote positive behavior, social-emotional learning, and inclusion Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including first aid procedures and emergency preparedness Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding camper experiences and program updates Maintain a clean, organized camp environment that meets health and safety standards Lead by example in promoting inclusivity, kindness, and teamwork Oversee equipment, staffing, and overall camp operations Requirements Minimum 3+ years of experience working with children (schools, camps, youth programs, or similar settings preferred) Must be 21 years of age or older Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse groups and solve problems effectively Knowledge of first aid procedures; certification preferred (or willingness to obtain, reimbursable) Background in education or child development is a plus Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire both children and staff Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with energy and enthusiasm Interest or experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or other extracurricular activities Ability to pass a background check and meet Colorado childcare requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record The Role Full-time, seasonal (summer weekdays) $1000-$1,400 per week (based on experience) Active environment: outdoor fields, indoor gyms, occasional pool/field trips On your feet, leading, coaching, and moving all day Our Culture At HERO Kids Sports, we believe in: Building confidence through movement, play, and positive coaching Creating a fun, encouraging, non-competitive environment Inclusion for all skill levels Teamwork, respect, and high energy Why This Role Stands Out Leadership opportunity (not just a counselor role) Make a real impact on kids + staff Fast-paced, fun, and rewarding environment Be part of a growing, high-energy company Join us as a Summer Camp Manager and help create an inspiring summer filled with fun, learning, and growth!
