Role Overview We are seeking an energetic, creative, and highly engaged Summer Camp Counselor to lead our School Age Summer Camp program. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with children ages 5-12 and is excited to create a fun, safe, and memorable summer experience. The Camp Counselor will be responsible for leading a group of up to 15 children , planning and implementing weekly themed activities, and building strong, positive relationships with both children and families. What Makes Our Summer Camp Special On-site field trips and special visitors Water play days and outdoor fun Weekly themed programming Hands-on crafts and creative activities Walking field trips (when available) A focus on FUN, engagement, and connection
Key Responsibilities Program Planning:
Design and implement engaging weekly lesson plans, crafts, and activities aligned with camp themes
Activity Leadership:
Lead daily activities including games, outdoor play, water days, and group experiences
Child Engagement:
Actively participate with children—this is a hands-on, high-energy role
Relationship Building:
Develop strong, positive relationships with children, families, and team members
Safety & Supervision:
Maintain a safe environment with active supervision and accurate attendance tracking
Behavior Guidance:
Use positive behavior management strategies to support a respectful and inclusive environment
Organization:
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-prepared camp environment
Collaboration:
Work with leadership and team members to enhance programming and share ideas Supportive Environment To support staff and student well-being, we provide:
On-Site Kitchen:
Nutritious meals prepared daily
Professional Cleaning Services:
Clean, well-maintained classrooms so you can focus on the children
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
$20•25 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
