The Sonnenalp Hotel is seeking a Full-Time Winter Seasonal Guest Activities Coordinator to help create exceptional experiences for guests throughout the winter season. Working alongside our Guest Services team, you'll coordinate and lead a variety of activities including Kids Club programs, guided hikes, special events, and unique resort experiences that showcase the best of Vail. Wage:
$21.00•$23.00 /hour
Winter Seasonal Dates:
11/1/2026•4/25/2027•Can change based on business levels.

For more information on housing please visit: Employee Housing•Sonnenalp Jobs Primary Purpose of Position Operates all activities of the Sonnenalp Guest Activities Department under the guidance of the Chef Concierge. This included Kids Club Events, Guided Hikes, Special Events and additional programs for hotel guests. Responsible for assisting in department event scheduling, execution and overall success of the Activities Department and guest satisfaction. Assists in equipment maintenance and tracking of inventory of supplies in both areas of the department. Recommended Skills and Qualifications CPR/1st Aid Certification (Wilderness First Aid preferred) Strong Computer Skills, familiar with Publisher and Excel Self-Driven, Highly Organized, Punctual and Detail Oriented Extensive experience working with children ages 3-11 years old Supervisory Skills Essential Duties and Responsibilities Sonnenalp Adventures Operating existing programming for hotel guests for summer and winter season Provide the highest level of educational, safe and enjoyable experiences for our guests on the trails. Forecast potential issues and be proactive to avoid them Track guest participation and trail usage, wavier forms Responsible for all charging of guest activities Kids Club Operate the hotels established Kids Club programming for ages 3 to 11 to include on-site programming and organization of off-site activities. Manage and maintain cleanliness of the hotel Kids Club Track guest participation Responsible for all charging of guest activities Safety Promote the rules and regulations of the Activities Department intended for the safety and welfare of guests. Observe activity in Kids Club and respond appropriately in accordance with local operating procedure in the event of an emergency Be aware of possible situations where guests are not able to safely participate in an activity and report to Chef Concierge Provide assistance to injured guests until the arrival of emergency medical services Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the Chef Concierge; complete safety training and certifications Other Assist in coordination of special events in conjunction with the Conference Services Team Operate existing programs in order to differentiate the Sonnenalp from other properties Update promotional material and promote with other departments Work on guest outreach within the hotel and greet families and provide information about the Kids Club events during their stay. Assist with social media postings by providing pictures when available Maintain a visible presence in Kids Club during scheduled events Conduct inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment and notify about re-ordering Clean and maintain recreational equipment, Kids Club area and supplies Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests Be a role model for Sonnenalp standards and reputation Perform other reasonable job duties and tasks as assigned by Chef Concierge Education/Experience High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. College degree in Wellness, Recreation or Education preferred Experience in guest relations/customer service Extensive experience in working with children ages 3-11 years old Job requires clean driving record and must be 21+ years old Special Skills/Equipment Strong computer skills and knowledge of Publisher and Excel Strong communication skills; knowledge of English and Spanish Languages spoken and written preferred High level of organizational skills and attention to detail Essential Physical Requirements Requires weekends and flexible work schedule to adapt to seasonal changes in program demand. Scheduled program closings or limitation of hours offered based on the business levels and demand Good physical fitness required
