Job Description
The Tennis Director is responsible for the complete tennis program as well as organizing and developing youth and adult tennis clinics. Other responsibilities of the Tennis Director include, but are not limited to: Teaches tennis clinics throughout the season. Interviews and assists the Recreation Supervisor in hiring tennis staff prior to the start of clinics. Conducts staff orientation and training for all Tennis Instructors and Tennis Monitors. Schedules Tennis Instructors and Tennis Monitors throughout court locations. Manages all tennis staff throughout the season. Maintains staff rosters and staff certifications. Communicates any program needs or equipment needs to the Recreation Supervisor. Hands in all forms, time sheets and rosters to the Recreation Supervisor on time every week. Documents all incidents and accidents using correct forms and notifies Recreation Supervisor immediately. Communicates directly with the Tennis Clerk regarding weekly clinics, weather updates, rosters, court schedules, questions and concerns. Maintains a good relationship with court users, co-workers and other Town of Greenwich employees. Brings tennis equipment back to storage location immediately following the conclusion of the tennis clinics.
Season:
April to August.Hours:
Approximately 20 hours per week April, May and August; Approximately 40 hours per week in June and July. Must be at least 21 years of age and have at least three (3) years of experience instructing tennis. Must possess or be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR/AED certification. Must possess effective communication skills in order to communicate directly with staff, parents, and participants. Subject to a background check.Similar remote jobs
