As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for campers of various ages. You will lead activities, provide guidance, and ensure that all campers have a memorable and positive experience while fostering their personal growth and development. Duties Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Plan, organize, and lead various camp activities such as sports, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and team-building exercises. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among campers. Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members regarding camper progress and any concerns. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized camp environment. Provide first aid assistance when necessary and ensure all safety protocols are followed. Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, friendship, and respect among campers. Skills Experience in a camp setting or similar environment is preferred. Strong classroom management skills to maintain order during activities. Effective behavior management techniques to address camper needs positively. Previous experience working with students or children in roles such as childcare, babysitting, daycare, or tutoring is highly valued. Knowledge of sports coaching or recreational activities is a plus. Certification in First Aid or CPR is beneficial but not mandatory; training may be provided. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Must have a valid Drivers License.
