We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activity Assistant to join our team. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents in an assisted living and memory care setting. Duties:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of engaging activities for residents, including games, crafts, outings, and social events
• Encourage resident participation in activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation
• Provide one-on-one support to residents who may require assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Collaborate with the activity director and other staff members to create a dynamic activity calendar
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
• Ensure the safety and well-being of residents during activities

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Genuine care and compassion for seniors
• Experience in assisted living or senior care preferred
• Knowledge of caregiving techniques and understanding of ADLs
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Experience in event planning is a plus
• Familiarity with memory care principles is an asset
