Job Summary:

We're seeking a vibrant Activities Assistant to join our dynamic team at Seaside Health and Rehabilitation Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. As an Activities Assistant, you'll play a key role in creating engaging programs and activities that bring joy and connection to our residents. If you're full of energy, passion, and a desire to make a real difference, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Help plan, organize, and lead a variety of activities, including games, music, crafts, and social events, to support residents' physical, social, and emotional well-being Connect with residents to build meaningful relationships and encourage participation Create inclusive and accessible activities that cater to diverse interests and abilities Set up and maintain activity spaces, ensuring supplies and equipment are organized and ready for use Participate in team meetings and training to stay up-to-date on new programs and ideas Maintain accurate records of resident involvement and activity success Assist with other tasks as needed to support the Activities Director and department

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Experience working with older adults in recreational or social settings (preferred) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Positive and upbeat personality with a genuine passion for helping others Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
