Part-Time Aftercare Assistant St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic School | Delray Beach, Florida St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic School is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Part-Time Aftercare Assistant to join our Viking family! This position follows the school calendar, Monday through Friday, during after-school hours. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with children and is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where students can learn, play, and grow beyond the classroom. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision while ensuring the safety, well-being, and positive behavior of all students. Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities, including games, arts and crafts, outdoor recreation, and enrichment opportunities. Assist students with homework and encourage positive study habits. Foster a nurturing, faith-filled environment that promotes kindness, respect, responsibility, and teamwork. Support daily aftercare routines, including attendance, snack time, transitions, and student dismissal. Maintain organized, clean, and safe indoor and outdoor activity spaces. Communicate professionally and positively with students, families, and fellow staff members. Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and Diocese of Palm Beach guidelines. Qualifications Previous experience working with elementary or preschool-aged children preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. Patient, dependable, enthusiastic, and able to engage students of varying ages. Ability to multitask, work collaboratively, and exercise sound judgment. Commitment to supporting the mission and Catholic identity of St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic School. Ability to meet all required diocesan background screening and employment requirements. Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to actively supervise children indoors and outdoors, stand and walk for extended periods, bend, kneel, and occasionally lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
