Youth Activities SupervisorPosition SummaryThe Camp Attendant supports the daily operations of camp programs by assisting with activity setup and breakdown, maintaining organized camp spaces, and engaging with campers to ensure a safe, fun, and positive experience. This role works closely with Youth Activities Supervisor to help facilitate activities, supervise participants, and provide excellent customer service to campers and families. Key ResponsibilitiesCamp OperationsAssist with the setup and breakdown of camp activities, games, equipment, and event spaces.

Prepare activity areas before campers arrive and ensure spaces are clean and organized throughout the day.

Transport, distribute, and store camper and supplies and equipment as needed.

Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.

Child EngagementActively engage with campers during activities, games, and recreational programs.

Encourage participation and foster positive interactions among campers.

Assist counselors and instructors with group management and activity supervision.

Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating enthusiasm, patience, and professionalism.

Support campers' needs while promoting inclusion, teamwork, and respect.

Safety & SupervisionMonitor campers during activities and transitions to help ensure their safety and well-being.

Follow all camp policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.

Report incidents, concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.

Assist with camper check-in, check-out, and attendance tracking as assigned.

Customer ServiceProvide friendly and professional assistance to campers, parents, and visitors.

Help answer basic questions and direct concerns to appropriate camp staff.

Support special events, field trips, and camp programs as needed.

Pay Range$22-24 per hourQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience working with children in camps, schools, recreation programs, childcare, or similar settings preferred.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact positively with children of various ages.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to lift and move camp equipment and supplies.

CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and participate in recreational activities for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 2550 pounds.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
