This position will assist with the daily operation of our pickleball program while helping develop our new croquet program. The ideal candidate is friendly, energetic, dependable, and enjoys working with people in an active, outdoor environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with the daily operation and maintenance of the club's pickleball and croquet facilities. Help lead staff-run pickleball open play, including welcoming members, organizing games, and managing court rotations. Assist with pickleball and croquet clinics, leagues, tournaments, socials, and other member events. Help develop and grow the club's new croquet program, including learning the game and assisting with member programming. Provide excellent service and build positive relationships with members and guests. Assist with pickleball instruction and clinics based on experience and qualifications. Maintain courts, equipment, and playing areas in a clean, safe, and professional condition. Assist with Pro Shop operations, including member purchases, inventory, merchandising, and use of the Point-of-Sale system. Communicate member feedback, facility concerns, and equipment needs to the Head Professional. Work collaboratively with the Athletics team and other club departments. Take initiative and assist wherever needed to ensure a high-quality member experience. Qualifications Strong pickleball knowledge and playing ability. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Friendly, professional, and approachable personality. Dependable, organized, and able to work independently. Comfortable working with members of varying ages and skill levels. Willingness to learn croquet and assist in developing the program. Previous coaching, teaching, recreation, hospitality, or private club experience preferred. Comfortable learning and using Point-of-Sale and other technology. Ability to work outdoors in warm and humid conditions. Croquet experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who is enthusiastic about learning the game. Schedule Flexible availability is required. The schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Additional hours may be required during tournaments and the club's busy season. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in warm and humid weather. Ability to participate in pickleball and croquet activities. Ability to lift, carry, and move sports equipment and supplies. Ability to perform routine court and facility maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys pickleball, working with people, and being part of the development of a new croquet program at a private club.
Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 45.0 per week
