Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Lead Memory Care Activity Assistant to join our team in providing engaging recreational and therapeutic activities for residents in our memory care community. The ideal candidate must have experience with activities and have a passion for working with seniors, particularly those with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other memory care needs. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through meaningful social interactions and activities. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and implement recreational activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents. Facilitate group activities that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical engagement. Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety during participation. Maintain a schedule of events and ensure all materials and supplies are prepared for each activity. Document resident participation and progress in activities to support individualized care plans. Engage with families to encourage participation in events and provide updates on resident involvement Requirements Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and senior care practices is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members. Ability to manage schedules efficiently while being flexible to adapt as needed. A genuine desire to improve the lives of seniors through engaging activities and companionship.
