Assisting with assessing resident interest and activity needs at the time of move-in. Encourage resident participation in activities while respecting individual preferences and choices. Assist with decorating common areas and preparing for special events, holidays, birthdays, parties, and other celebrations. Prepare the activity room before activities take place and clean the area afterwards. Observe residents during activities and communicate any of their needs to the appropriate supervisor. Assist with group and one-on-one activities. Fosters teamwork with co-workers, shows initiative in overcoming obstacles, takes actions which assist others beyond job responsibilities, and has a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors. Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred in Social Service, Business, or a field related to this position. Prior management/supervisory experience. Minimum of three years' experience in assisted living or memory care preferred. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
