Activities Assistant

• Full-time. Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM.
• Must supervise and direct stimulating activities for all residents including those with special needs. This will include activities of daily living, participation in social activities on and off campus and provision of companionship and emotional support to all residents.
• Responsible for developing relationships with the residents and their families.
• Provide or cause to be provided transportation for resident activities via golf cart or Ford Flex when necessary.
• Maintain a congenial atmosphere among fellow workers and a sense of team work in conjunction with Activities. To extend a spirit of common courtesy and hospitality to residents and fellow workers alike. Must be available to work the hours directed by supervisor to carry out activities.
• Maintain all activity supplies in a neat and orderly fashion. Keep inventory of supplies. Clean and organize closets that need it.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor(s).
• Assist with Hospitality Hour and other after hour special activities. Must be available that evening each month.
• Able to work hours as required by management.
• Must be available during inclement weather and hurricanes as required by management; assist with preparation and recovery as needed.
• Ensure that all activities are coordinated in compliance with company regulations and that all Federal and State Regulations are followed.
• Must be able to implement group activities.
• Able to work and communicate with residents, management, associates and volunteers.
