In this role, you will be the heart of engaging and meaningful activities that enhance residents' quality of life. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities, including memory care and dementia-friendly programs Assist with organizing resident events, outings, and social gatherings to promote community involvement and socialization Build strong rapport with residents by understanding their individual needs, preferences, and capabilities Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as mobility, dressing, and personal care as needed Maintain detailed records of resident participation, progress, and feedback to continually improve program offerings Collaborate with team members to develop innovative activity programs that promote cognitive stimulation and physical well-being Manage schedules for activities and ensure all materials and equipment are prepared for each session Experience Prior experience working with seniors in assisted living facilities with Memory Care is highly preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, geriatrics, and memory care best practices is essential Demonstrated success in event planning, recreational therapy, or program development within long-term or home & community care settings Strong communication skills for engaging residents effectively and coordinating with team members and families Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and scheduling purposes Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is advantageous Proven ability to build resident rapport while fostering a positive environment focused on aging issues counseling and senior care Join us in creating joyful moments that enrich the lives of our residents!
